Case Histories

Every Gate Automation project is different and every new project presents its own challenges.

The following case histories are an example of the scale of work we are able to undertake, the complexities for which solutions are found and above all the stunning difference we can make to your property

Farleys

A large property with two separate entrances surrounded by old walls.  The brickwork had deteriorated and was beginning to crumble.

It was important to the client to retain the properties charm so the old bricks were preserved and used in the rebuilding of the new pillars and walls to the two entrances.

The client chose a hardwood gate from a design he had seen locally.  This design was photographed and copied. Underground automation was installed with GSM Communication and pedestrian access keypads.   Vehicle loops were installed to both entrances.

Hunters Hill

The client purchased an undeveloped property with a steep drive way.  The property was secured on all sides by Victorian walls but the existing driveway was open and exposed.

As a dog owner it was crucial to be able to fully secure the property.  Due to the complexities of the entrance on a small narrow lane way the only solution was to install a sliding gate.

The property underwent a complete renovation in a contemporary style and the client wanted the gates to reflect the new modern style of the house.

From an image of a gate she had seen abroad, our Metalwork fabricators were able to replicate the style in Steel and powder coat finish in an anthracite RAL colour.  Requiring considerable groundworks to establish the necessary gate recess and comply with safety regulations a locking side gate was installed.

The drive way was widened, the existing garden walls built up and the external walls increased in height.  Installed with GSM Communication, Pedestrian exit button and vehicle loop.

… and the dog never gets out!

Morris

In this project the original entrance was situated close to the road oriented to one side of a wide driveway.   The client wanted to create a more impressive approach.

A new central driveway was constructed and the entrance gate relocated further into the drive, allowing visitors to exit the road.  Replacing the original wrought iron gates with Solid boarded, bleached Utile hardwood, impressive brick piers were constructed of Purbeck Stone, with the drive verges  edged with granite sets. The materials used were reflective of the main house.

Ground works were completed in preparation for hedging, turf and driveway surfacing.

The Entrance Gate and Side Gate were manufacatured with Utile hardwood and bleached to attain a lighter colour, then coated with a wood preserver.  Underground Automation installed.   GSM communication system was installed, along with a vehicle loop to exit.

Ratcliffe Gardens

Near to a busy Town Centre Street, where parking was difficult, the client wanted to gain access to their house to create off-street parking.

With limited space a sliding gate installation proved the only solution to maximise the internal space and ensure the approval of planning permission.

Creating an opening in a solid brick wall, building brick piers and finishing with a sliding aluminium gate a neat, efficient solution was achieved.

The client did not require a communication system as there is a separate pedestrian entrance.  In this installation it was decided not to install vehicle loops as the proximity of the parked cars wouldn’t have enabled enough clearance for is to effectively operate.
